पुराने समय ,में समुद्र तट पर बसी नगरी थी ।प्राकृतिक प्रकोप एवं आतंक से जैन अन्य स्थान पर चले गए । मंदिर जी में चोथे काल की प्रतिमा विराजमान है एवं धातु का पञ्च सहस्त्र कूट जिनालय है ।यह २५०० साल पुराणी प्रतिमा है |मंदिर भी बहुत पुराना है जिन्हें १५वि या १६वि सदी मे फिर से बनाया गया।
Ghogha is situated in ancient city of Ghogha at the bank of Bay of Khambhat in Gujarat State. After seeing the broken fragments here, it seems that some time Ghogha would be a centre of business and a prosperous city. Three ancient Dig. Jain temples are here with so many ancient idols installed. One idol among them is supposed to be more than 2500 years old. But relating to the art of sculpture it seems to be installed during 11th – 12th Century.
